The Gender and Women's Studies (GWS) program offers students an opportunity to examine the intersections of equity, social justice, and issues surrounding gender, sexuality, and identity. Through interdisciplinary approaches spanning literature, history, anthropology, sociology, public health, education, law, biology, psychology, political science, and visual arts, GWS students gain comprehensive perspectives. Our courses foster critical thinking and effective communication through engaged classroom dialogue, written assignments, and self-directed projects. Undergraduate participants can enhance their research capabilities via thesis work while accessing career-building resources such as alumni networking events and internship placements. Program alumni leverage their analytical skills across diverse sectors including healthcare policy, social advocacy, reproductive rights, nonprofit leadership, medical practice, technology, and creative media industries.
