Through reading, discussions, independent research projects, and study abroad opportunities, you'll journey across different periods and cultures. More than just career preparation, historical study launches a lifelong global education that enhances your understanding of yourself and your role in the world.
As a UW-La Crosse history student, you'll develop versatile skills applicable to careers worldwide. You'll master critical analysis of concepts and data, formulate unique perspectives, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Historical education goes beyond examining the past. Quality history instruction equips you to comprehend current realities and empowers you, as both an individual and world citizen, to positively impact what lies ahead.
Within UWL's history curriculum, you'll trace the roots of civilizations while examining cultural, political, social, and economic viewpoints throughout time and geography. You'll recognize how historical events shape personal identity and appreciate your capacity to influence ongoing historical developments.
Applicant must have completion of secondary or post-secondary from institution.
English Language Proficiency
Applicant must have TOEFL score of 73 with IELTS score of 6.0 and PTE score of 54. In addition completion of ELS level 112 and completion of WESLI level 700 is required.
Priority application deadlines are 15 December for the January/Spring semester and 15 July for the September/Fall semester.
