For those primarily focused on language or literature studies, the University's specialized language departments may better align with your goals (including Asian Languages and Literature, French and Italian Studies, Spanish and Portuguese Studies, Scandinavian Studies, Slavic Languages and Literature, Classics, Germanics, and Near Eastern Languages and Civilization).

With over twenty faculty members, the China Studies Program delivers an extensive selection of courses spanning social sciences, humanities, and certain professional disciplines at the University. This intimate M.A. program fosters strong faculty-student relationships. Participants can integrate their China Studies graduate work with professional degrees (pending admission to those programs).
