Students have the opportunity to enroll in a dual degree program with the Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies, earning both an MGPS and a Master of Arts in Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies. This interdisciplinary program merges comprehensive globalization studies with specialized knowledge of political systems, economic structures, and cultural aspects of the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. The curriculum addresses growing demand in government, business, and nonprofit organizations for professionals with this unique skill set. Graduates will gain significant career adaptability and become highly competitive candidates across various employment sectors.
The dual degree can be completed concurrently in about three years of study. Both master's degrees are conferred upon fulfillment of all academic requirements in each discipline.
Students must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States or a comparable degree from a foreign academic institution. A grade point average of at least 3.00 in upper-division (junior- and senior-level) coursework and in any graduate work already completed.
The minimum scores considered acceptable for admission by the Graduate School are:
TOEFL: 79 on the Internet-based test (iBT)
IELTS: An overall band of 6.5 on the Academic Examination
