This credential can significantly boost career prospects in our interconnected world. Open to all NIU graduate students and student-at-large candidates in good standing, the program adopts a multidisciplinary framework, examining Southeast Asia through lenses like anthropology, linguistics, history, political science, and the arts. Participants must demonstrate proficiency in a Southeast Asian language (comparable to completing 10 credit hours of study), though native speakers and those passing proficiency exams may be exempt.
