Pathobiology integrates core principles from biology, medicine, and public health, with a focus on worldwide health challenges. This field employs interdisciplinary methods and cutting-edge research technologies to examine public health concerns including infectious diseases and chronic conditions like cancer. Through exploring the complex causes of multifactorial illnesses, our program highlights both prevention and treatment, offering a comprehensive understanding of disease origins. We utilize techniques from immunology, molecular biology, pathology, and genetics to identify and analyze cancers, STDs, and various infections.

Our Pathobiology Graduate Program provides research opportunities and academic tracks for earning PhD and MS degrees. The curriculum features foundational pathobiology courses, supplemented by epidemiology and molecular biology requirements. Students can select electives from related medical science disciplines like microbiology, biochemistry, pathology, and genetics. The Program equally prioritizes research experience and professional development for both graduate students and postdoctoral researchers.
