The Environmental Health Science (EHS) PhD program equips students for leadership roles across various environmental health disciplines. This biology doctoral program provides comprehensive training in analyzing environmental challenges and their impacts on human health and quality of life.
The EHS curriculum examines how ecological disruptions influence ecosystems, community dynamics, and species preservation. Students also investigate how these environmental changes affect toxicology at physiological, cellular, and genetic levels, including impacts on genome architecture and gene expression.
An applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the Sciences and show training in the fundamentals of biology, which includes the successful completion of courses equivalent to our undergraduate core curriculum for a BS degree. A master’s degree is not required for entry into this program. However, a student who has been admitted to our master’s degree program must reapply for doctoral study.
English Language Proficiency: TOEFL: internet based - 79, or paper based - 550. A score of at least 6.5 is required on the IELTS.
