The Nutritional Sciences doctoral program provides cross-disciplinary education to equip students with the skills needed to advance scientific understanding in nutrition and implement this knowledge across public health and clinical environments. This PhD curriculum helps scholars achieve: Deep expertise in nutrition, metabolism, and associated biological, biochemical, molecular, and behavioral disciplines, Proficiency in research methodologies, The ability to formulate innovative hypotheses in nutritional science. The program begins with foundational coursework across essential knowledge domains, followed by development of a dissertation project concentrating on one primary and one secondary focus area. Degree completion requires passing both general and final examinations.

A baccalaureate degree from a college or university of recognized rank (neither a nursing background nor RN licensure is required).
