A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management is designed for students seeking a practical, hands-on education. This program equips students with both technical expertise and leadership abilities to thrive in this fast-paced field. Recognized as one of the top programs nationally, it holds accreditation from the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE). The curriculum focuses on developing: Technical proficiency to identify and resolve construction challenges, Management capabilities for effective decision-making, A well-rounded understanding of humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences, Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The comprehensive CM program combines technical, managerial, and business coursework to prepare graduates for success in the construction sector. Students can complete the initial two years at the University of Washington, other four-year institutions, or community colleges. The foundational curriculum covers diverse subjects including engineering graphics, accounting, business law, economics, physics, mathematics, geology, statistics, public speaking, English, social sciences, and humanities. Advanced coursework delves into structural analysis, construction techniques, building systems, safety protocols, cost estimation, project scheduling, and management strategies.
Student must have a High School Qualification.
Due to limited testing availability from COVID-19, the UW will accept the Duolingo’s English Test for autumn 2021 applicants. A minimum score of 105 will be required for admission. The TOEFL iBT special home edition and the IELTS Indicator at home exam will also be accepted for 2021 international freshman applicants.
