A successful career in construction management requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal abilities to develop projects from inception to completion. Construction Managers apply engineering and business concepts to supervise all phases of construction projects. Their responsibilities encompass cost estimation, legal contracts, building techniques, project timelines, workplace safety, and clear communication. Specialization options span industrial projects, infrastructure development, commercial buildings, housing projects, and general contracting. With strong industry demand, graduates quickly find employment opportunities, whether advancing within established firms or launching independent construction management ventures.

The construction management field has undergone significant transformation and expansion in recent years, leading to greater risks, duties, and professional accountability for practitioners. The Bachelor of Science in Construction Management (available both on-campus and online) integrates engineering, architectural design, technology, and business principles to develop competent professionals capable of optimizing construction operations. Graduates gain industry-relevant competencies and essential knowledge to fulfill their professional duties. Those pursuing Certified Professional Constructor certification obtain formal validation of their educational background and practical experience, establishing their professional standing in the field.

The construction management program establishes a foundational knowledge core applicable across various construction management applications. While meeting accreditation requirements set by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE), this core curriculum can be enhanced through specialized coursework. Developed through collaboration between industry experts and faculty, these concentration areas deliver targeted skills for different construction sectors.
