The Community, Environment and Planning (CEP) program is a distinguished interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts degree offered through the Department of Urban Design and Planning. Breaking from traditional majors, CEP doesn't follow a set curriculum but rather encourages students to shape their own academic journey. Within small cohorts of up to 38 peers, students utilize planning principles like teamwork, leadership, purposeful action, environmental care, and forward-thinking to achieve their educational objectives. The program combines theoretical foundations with practical applications through its core courses, while allowing students to fulfill elective requirements across the university. Additionally, CEP involves students in governance activities that both sustain the program and cultivate leadership skills for real-world impact. Graduates pursue diverse careers as urban planners, teachers, non-profit leaders, business owners, communications specialists, and various other professions including medicine, law, and engineering.
