This program equips students with the skills needed for careers as architectural drafters, designers, permit technicians, or interior designers in the construction industry. The curriculum covers both traditional and computer-aided drafting techniques, along with residential/commercial design, interior design, building codes, and blueprint interpretation. To graduate, students must complete 42-46 units of required coursework. Program Outcomes: Graduates will be able to create technical drawings using various CAD programs, compile a professional portfolio showcasing their best class projects, explain construction methods and building code principles, produce detailed residential and commercial construction drawings, and analyze how design approaches, IBC regulations, construction methods, and industry standards influence structural design.
