As a Liberal & Fine Arts (COLFA) student, you'll examine, participate in, and learn from experiences that prepare you for a global workforce. The COLFA Student Success Center provides holistic support for academic growth, personal development, and career advancement. Access tutoring services, internship placements, industry networking opportunities, and professional skill-building through the center's robust programming. The Department of Communication provides a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree and minor in Communication, along with a B.A. in Digital Media Influence. Students can pursue Honors in Communication and select specialized coursework in Public Relations, Digital Communication, or Health Communication when majoring in this field.
The Public Relations specialization delivers career-ready training, preparing students with critical competencies for today's PR industry. This concentration covers traditional and social media strategies, PR writing techniques, campaign development, digital integration approaches, case analysis, and digital communications. Through project-based learning, students develop practical skills by creating complete PR campaigns and analyzing real-world case studies.
