The Master of Interior Design is an initial professional qualification featuring intensive coursework tailored to equip students for higher-level practice in interior design. The curriculum is customized based on each applicant's academic history, demonstrated through transcripts, portfolio submissions, statement of purpose, resume, and recommendation letters.
Prior to advancing to upper-level interior design studies, candidates for this first professional degree must prove foundational competence in design and communication abilities via a faculty evaluation. Those without prior Interior Design experience typically finish the program in about three and a half years of on-campus study. Applicants with pre-professional degrees in Interior Design or Architecture receive individualized assessments for potential course exemptions toward degree completion.
