Qualification Requirements

An undergraduate degree in Art History is not required for admission to the MA program, but all applicants are strongly encouraged to have a minimum of 18 hours of undergraduate coursework in Art History or a closely related area.

Applicants must submit an official transcript from all undergraduate and graduate institutions youve attended, with the exceptions of community or junior colleges that offer no coursework beyond the sophomore year.
The GRE score requirement is waived for Fall 2024 admissions applicants.
Letters of Recommendation
A grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or a comparable GPA in upper-division workjunior- and senior-level coursesand in any graduate work already completed is also required.
