The Master's program in Industrial-Organizational (IO) Psychology emphasizes bridging scientific research with practical applications, offering a curriculum carefully crafted to integrate both aspects. This approach provides students with a comprehensive understanding of IO psychology. The program aligns with the educational standards set by the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology for master's-level training. Participants gain hands-on experience through the student-run Industrial and Organizational Psychology Center, founded in 2012 to enhance practical learning. This center helps students build field expertise, establish professional connections, and develop essential IO skills while fostering long-term partnerships with organizations. Our program equips graduates to excel as IO professionals in key business areas like leadership development, talent acquisition, and organizational improvement. Situated in the DFW Metroplex—a hub for corporate headquarters—we collaborate with leading companies such as AT&T, Lockheed Martin, PepsiCo, and Texas Instruments to offer valuable internships and fieldwork. Students receive training in experimental design, statistical methods, applied psychology, and management principles, making them highly competitive in the job market. The program offers both thesis and non-thesis pathways, culminating in a Master of Science degree.
