DePaul's Clinical Psychology MA/PhD program provides comprehensive training in both research and clinical practice, with APA accreditation highlighting its focus on diversity education. Students develop expertise in analyzing how social and systemic factors shape mental health outcomes and create healthcare inequities for marginalized urban communities. The program equips graduates for careers serving diverse populations in public sector roles, particularly addressing the needs of economically disadvantaged children, adolescents, and families who historically lack psychological services. This integrated degree program leads directly from the MA to PhD level (the MA alone isn't offered as a final degree), with coursework at the Lincoln Park Campus typically taking 5-6 years to complete.
