The Master of Science degree offers a specialization in Nutrition with focus areas in Biomedical Nutrition Science, Community Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition, and Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics. Learners can choose complementary minors such as Epidemiology, Exercise Physiology, Intercollegiate Graduate Statistics and Data Science, or One Health. Those pursuing dietitian certification must complete an ACEND-approved supervised practice program to qualify for the Registration Examination. Starting January 1, 2024, candidates will also need at least a master's degree - a requirement fulfilled by any concentration in this program. Notably, the Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics track satisfies all criteria as an accredited Future Education Model Graduate Program by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Accreditation Council.

Qualification Requirements

For admission to a graduate program, an international student must have an equivalent 4-year bachelor's degree. Individuals with degrees from foreign institutions must have earned a minimum of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale on all undergraduate work and a minimum of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale on all graduate work. US degree holders must have earned a minimum 2.7 out of a possible 4.0 GPA or a minimum of 3.0 during the senior year of undergraduate study and a minimum of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale on all graduate work.
