Physical therapy blends scientific healing with compassionate care, aiming to help patients achieve their peak potential while adapting to physical limitations. USD's program emphasizes personalized, research-backed education. You'll train under board-certified specialists across sports medicine, orthopedics, geriatrics, and neurology, while receiving tailored guidance from a dedicated faculty mentor committed to your growth.
Opportunities may include presenting at national conferences, working with Division I athletes alongside faculty, and accumulating extensive clinical hours. These experiences ensure you graduate with the practical skills and assurance to provide exceptional patient care. As a Health Sciences student, you'll also collaborate with peers from diverse disciplines, preparing you to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Students with Baccalaureate degree must be from an institution with full regional accreditation for that degree. A minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 on conferred degree and/or graduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better, based on a 4.0 scale, on all graduate coursework is required for full admission.
English Language Requirements:
A minimum score of 79 on the Internet-Based TOEFL (iBT) or 550 on the Paper-Based TOEFL (PBT), a minimum IELTS score of 6.0, or a minimum PTE score of 53 is required for graduate admission.
