The Exercise Physiology doctoral program equips students for academic careers and professional roles focused on improving physical wellness, health, and human performance.
This program establishes a strong grounding in core scientific principles, technical expertise, and hands-on abilities through instruction, investigation, scholarly writing, and community engagement. Ongoing studies explore cardiovascular, neuromuscular, metabolic, endocrine, and body composition/functional adaptations to both short-term and sustained physical activity (exercise), examining interactions with elements like nutrition, environmental pressures, and long-term health conditions using human and animal research models.
