The Asian studies program delves into a vibrant region that includes the world's second and third largest economies, over 25% of the global population, and some of humanity's most ancient cultures. This multidisciplinary major offers concentrations in Japan, China, or Korea, while also providing an option for an interdisciplinary minor in Southeast Asian or South Asian studies through additional language coursework.

The comprehensive curriculum integrates offerings from various university departments, featuring classes in anthropology, art history, Chinese language and literature, dance, film studies, geography, history, international relations, Japanese language and literature, linguistics, Korean language and culture, political science, South Asian studies, and religious studies.
