Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities encompass diverse themes including multiracial solidarity, colonial legacies, labor exploitation, Indigenous rights, environmental activism, migration patterns, mixed-race identities, social movements, artistic expression, and LGBTQ+ experiences. These varied AAPI perspectives offer crucial understanding of global phenomena and local community responses.
Program participants can utilize their interdisciplinary training through optional internships, working directly with local communities in culturally appropriate and empowering capacities.
