The Asian Studies certificate offers an integrated, cross-disciplinary curriculum featuring courses centered on Asian regions and cultures. This 12-unit program is available to both degree-seeking and extended education students, recognizing the completion of a structured course of study aimed at:
developing specific professional/vocational/career skills, or
achieving expertise in a specialized area within an academic discipline, or
exploring diverse content in established or emerging interdisciplinary fields.
Some certificate programs include 600-level courses as mandatory or optional components, which are unavailable to undergraduate students. Participants must complete at least two-thirds of their certificate requirements through university coursework. Credit transfers or course substitutions require approval from the relevant campus office.
