The Biomedical Education Ph.D. program caters to medical educators, teaching fellows, researchers, and healthcare professionals pursuing careers in medical and health sciences education. Doctoral candidates in the Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum program will study subjects including: Curriculum and Instruction Theory, Educational Methods, Diversity Studies, Research Techniques, and their chosen Specialization Field. First-year doctoral students in this program participate in an introductory seminar during their initial fall term to familiarize them with the discipline, connect them with faculty, administrators, and peers, and immerse them in doctoral-level academic culture. The Ph.D. in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum focuses on cultivating advanced scholarly knowledge, preparing graduates to make meaningful contributions to their specialized fields.

Qualification Requirements

The Graduate Dean governs admission and enrollment in the Graduate College. Except for those in unclassified status, the student must be recommended for admission by an academic unit.
All admissions to the Graduate College require that the student hold a baccalaureate degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
Undergraduates in their final semester at accredited colleges and universities may apply for admission to the Graduate College.
Scoring 6.5 or higher on the IELTS, Scoring 79 or higher on the Internet-based TOEFL (iBT).
