The Educational and Community-Based Action Research (ECAR) concentration embodies an interdisciplinary, community-oriented approach focused on addressing real-world challenges. This ECAR program, in collaboration with the Action Research Center, has gained global recognition for advancing both theoretical frameworks and practical applications across educational, healthcare, community service, and organizational contexts. Prospective students can specialize in either practitioner-led investigations within learning environments or community-driven research projects, with coursework designed to highlight action research's diverse interdisciplinary applications. The Ph.D. in Educational Studies program rigorously trains research scholars to develop, execute, and share impactful educational research, with specialized focus areas aligned with current academic needs.
