The MS program in Statistics, Analytics and Data Science (STANDS) provides students with comprehensive training in statistics, optimization, stochastic modeling, and probability. Formerly known as the MS in Statistics and Operations Research, this Statistics, Analytics and Data Science program serves both as a standalone terminal degree for those entering professional roles and as an academic enhancement for PhD candidates across natural and social sciences. Graduates have successfully combined this MS with doctoral studies in fields like Economics, Sociology, Psychology, Mathematics, and Physics. Those completing the program as their final degree have consistently secured positions in both corporate and public sectors.
To earn the Statistics, Analytics and Data Science MS degree, students must complete 30 graduate credit hours and submit a Master's Essay. The curriculum offers extensive course options within the STOR Department, along with select approved courses from other departments.
