The Bachelor of Arts in Native American Studies is an interdisciplinary degree program that familiarizes students with the fundamental elements distinguishing Indigenous communities from mainstream American culture. This program also enables learners to explore persistent cultural distinctions through diverse educational approaches, incorporating hands-on and community-based learning experiences. The curriculum aims to fulfill these overarching objectives by:

establishing foundational knowledge in disciplinary methods addressing Native concerns across education, economics, legal systems, philosophy, psychology, and creative fields,
offering meaningful academic experiences beyond traditional classroom settings,
helping students bridge academic concepts with real-world applications through fieldwork or research projects, and
fostering ongoing discussions and partnerships between learners, educators, and Indigenous communities to continually enhance the Native Studies program.
