The Ceramics program at the University of New Mexico encourages the cultivation of individual artistic expressions. Our curriculum encompasses functional pottery, sculptural pieces, installation art, site-specific creations, community collaborations, and interdisciplinary approaches, all while adhering to national educational and safety guidelines.

Unique, hands-on courses in traditional Pueblo Pottery techniques are instructed and designed by Clarence Cruz from Oh-kay Owingeh Pueblo. As a Luce Foundation Indigenous Knowledge Fellow, Professor Cruz promotes inclusive cultural exchange, leveraging the distinctive heritage of the Southwest region.
