Community psychology centers on addressing human challenges across diverse environments by advancing theory, research, and practical applications to improve the lives of individuals, families, organizations, and entire populations. This field champions social equity by giving voice and resources to underserved groups while promoting wellness through collaborative initiatives and preventive measures. For five decades, the University of New Haven's Community Psychology Master's Program has effectively equipped students for careers in mental health and human service professions.
Our program delivers a unique hands-on psychology education. Students can choose from four specialized tracks—community mental health, community research and assessment, program design, and forensic psychology—allowing them to customize their studies to align with personal aspirations and career objectives.
You'll develop skills to implement various psychological and social science frameworks to analyze and address the multifaceted factors shaping individual and collective behavior and welfare.
