Our program offers three specialized tracks: two with a strong research emphasis and one combining research with clinical practice. All concentrations highlight the fundamental scientific methods and principles shared across psychology disciplines. You'll engage in guided research projects and must complete a thesis.
The applied behavior analysis track centers on behavior analysis's theoretical and methodological foundations, employing data-driven approaches to behavioral evaluation and clinical psychology. This field spans diverse areas including developmental disabilities, behavioral medicine, education, non-profits, and more, with a focus on delivering interventions backed by scientific evidence. Students may collaborate with researchers in behavioral pharmacology.
While psychological science graduates cannot practice psychology clinically, many pursue doctoral studies in clinical, social, neuroscience, and related fields. Others become researchers, administrators, or psychology educators at the college level.
The neuroscience and behavior concentration equips students for advanced study in neuroscience, behavioral neuroscience, and similar doctoral programs.
