The M.S. program provides foundational knowledge of physics' core theoretical frameworks to prepare students for pioneering research. You'll develop skills in implementing sophisticated research techniques and fostering critical analysis across electromagnetic theory, quantum mechanics, classical mechanics, and advanced mathematical approaches. This physics graduate program features a culminating experience, either a thesis or project. Alumni of this master's degree emerge ready for impactful careers in R&D across corporate, industrial, governmental, and academic sectors, while also being well-positioned for Ph.D. studies.
International applicants must hold a four-year baccalaureate degree or its equivalent as a precondition for applying to any of our graduate programs. In some cases, you may also need a master’s degree or its equivalent.

Minimum score requirements are as follows: TOEFL (Computer-based): 213; TOEFL (Internet-based): 80; IELTS (International English Language Testing System): 6.5; TOEFL ITP (Institution Administered): On case-by-case basis; TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication): On case-by-case basis; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: 59.
Applications must be completed by the following deadlines in order to be reviewed for admission: Fall: Jan. 15 (for funding); after that on rolling basis until April 15.
