Gather around our fire and share your stories, poems, and essays. We're here to listen.
Our program was designed entirely by writers, to naturally guide authors through exploring their craft while thoroughly preparing them for a sustainable creative and publishing career. No other program nurtures writers from individual lines to complete works—whether essays, stories, poetry collections, or novels—as ours does. The editing semester offers a uniquely hands-on experience in shaping work that's both compelling and ready for publication. Our talented faculty are here because they're passionate about cultivating distinctive voices in global conversations, encouraging bold risks, innovative language, and watching students evolve into professional and artistic equals.

Graduates earning a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing will:
achieve professional-level writing across multiple genres and styles, both creatively and critically, while mastering writing, revision, and presentation processes in written and oral forms,
explore diverse writing approaches using various literary techniques and forms, while specializing in one genre, pushing its boundaries, and contributing their voice to the ongoing artistic dialogue,
identify, examine, and critique the history, movements, traditions, subgenres, innovations, and contemporary practices within their chosen genre,
showcase advancing levels of craft mastery and aesthetic technique in their specialization with each academic year,
