The Neuroscience program awards a Bachelor of Science degree through an interdisciplinary curriculum. This program delivers thorough education in brain sciences, incorporating Psychology classes with cognitive/system approaches and Biology courses spanning from animal behavior to neuronal and molecular processes. The degree prepares students for advanced graduate studies, equipping them with a strong academic background suitable for graduate programs and medical schools. Students cannot pursue simultaneous or sequential dual degrees in NSC and BIOL. However, dual degrees with PSY are permitted, though PSY credits (excluding PSY 101) cannot count toward both degrees.
Upon completion, students will:
exhibit comprehensive understanding of fundamental Neuroscience concepts while gaining specialized knowledge in specific areas.

To be admitted to an undergraduate degree program as a regular freshman student, you must be a graduate from an approved or accredited high school. You must have a 3.0 weighted GPA in the academic core courses in order to be admitted to the University of Nevada, Reno.
Verification of having met the English requirement through one of the following options: TOEFL score 61+; IELTS (must be academic version) with a score of 6.0+; Duolingo English Exam score 95+; Cambridge score of B2+.
