The Department of Psychology provides an accelerated 4+1 Bachelor's to Master of Science in Neuroscience program for outstanding undergraduate Neuroscience majors at the University of Delaware. This initiative enables high-achieving students to complete both degrees within five years of full-time study while reducing costs and time by approximately half compared to traditional Master's programs. Participants typically engage in research laboratory work for at least one year before applying. Applications must be submitted by December of the student's senior year. Accepted candidates will undertake a summer graduate research internship (6 credits) with a thesis proposal, followed by a fifth year of advanced neuroscience coursework, culminating in a Master's Thesis submission and oral defense.
