The UNLV MS in Nutrition Sciences program aims to equip graduates with the expertise and confidence needed to excel as nutrition and dietetics professionals across diverse environments including clinical, community, food service, and management contexts. Program Objectives
Educational experiences will:
Equip students to work effectively with diverse patient populations across multiple healthcare environments.
Train students in applying the Nutrition Care Process to individuals from varied cultural backgrounds.
Employ diverse teaching methodologies (including clinical observations, simulation exercises, practical applications, case studies, online learning, and laboratory work).
Foster professional development by teaching ethical standards and creating pathways for students to give back to the field through mentorship and clinical instruction roles.
