Information technology innovation (ITIN) involves the multidisciplinary process of envisioning, creating, prototyping, and implementing technology-driven solutions. It combines technical expertise with business acumen to develop IT products and services. By its very nature, IT innovation merges computer science and management information systems with various fields that influence technology design and implementation, including healthcare, business, psychology, arts, music, and public administration. This field bridges diverse disciplines beyond just information technology. Moreover, IT Innovation adopts a comprehensive approach to product development: It encompasses the entire lifecycle from concept generation and design to the business execution of turning innovations into viable, market-ready solutions. The need for skilled ITIN professionals continues to grow across local, regional, and national markets, prompting the creation of the MS in ITIN program. This program not only addresses workforce demands but also nurtures the creativity and intellectual growth of technology-driven innovators.
