The Master of Science in Optics and Photonics program is designed for individuals holding an undergraduate degree in optics, electrical engineering, physics, or similar disciplines. This multidisciplinary program integrates optical science with engineering principles.
The College of Optics and Photonics provides a graduate program focused on optical science and engineering, culminating in a Master of Science degree. The college has expanded significantly, currently employing 55 faculty members (including joint appointments), 41 research scientists, and supporting 148 graduate students engaged in comprehensive optics, photonics, and laser research. Annual research funding exceeds $10 million, with more than 20% contributed by industry partners, demonstrating the success of the college's partnership-driven approach, a core principle of COP.
