The International Program in Addiction Studies, culminating in a Master of Science degree, aims to provide students with multicultural insights into key prevention, treatment, research, and policy challenges in the field. This collaborative initiative between VCU, King's College London, and Australia's University of Adelaide enables students to earn their degree through distance learning. The curriculum equips graduates for leadership roles in addiction-related policy, program management, and prevention/treatment initiatives worldwide. By facilitating access to cutting-edge global addiction research, particularly in underserved regions, the program empowers students to integrate international best practices into locally relevant, evidence-based prevention strategies and policy development.
