Over the last decade, the expansion of study abroad initiatives and global education programs has significantly boosted the need for specialists possessing expertise in international education leadership, theory, and advocacy worldwide. A Master's qualification is increasingly becoming the minimum educational requirement for mid-tier and even certain junior roles in this sector. Given this rapid industry growth, conducting research—especially through higher degree programs—has become essential to guide the field's development.
Through this program, the Department of Educational Leadership aims to equip emerging leaders in government, education, and nonprofit sectors with critical skills for designing, executing, and overseeing internationalization strategies involving Cross-Cultural Exchange and Training, Global Education, and International Education Development. The Ph.D. in International Educational Leadership examines education both as a tool for global progress and as a pathway to fostering intercultural awareness.
