Get ready for an academic role in comparative and international education, or pursue a professional teaching career in global and cross-cultural environments. Design your academic path with a focus on specific world regions, including opportunities for overseas study, while taking specialized courses in research methodologies, social sciences or humanities, global trends, and education policy. Note that the International Education PhD program won't be considering full-time applications with Steinhardt Fellowships for Fall 2024 enrollment (starting Fall 2025). Part-time applicants remain welcome, though please be aware that part-time students traditionally don't qualify for Steinhardt Fellowship support.
The Global Education program equips you with skills to research, instruct, and contribute to universities, schools, publishing firms, and educational organizations involved in creating and delivering international education initiatives
