The Surgical Technology program equips students for careers as surgical technologists, essential team members in delivering patient surgical care. Working under a surgeon's direction, surgical technologists support the safe and efficient execution of invasive surgeries. They maintain a secure operating room environment, verify equipment functionality, and ensure procedures are performed with optimal patient safety. These professionals are skilled in sterile and aseptic techniques and integrate knowledge of human anatomy, surgical methods, and instrument use to assist physicians during invasive therapeutic and diagnostic interventions.

Qualification Requirements

To be considered for undergraduate admission to University of Montana, all international applicants must demonstrate English proficiency by submitting a score on an approved test or by qualifying for an exemption.
