The Archaeology PhD program is tailored for students holding an MA in Archaeology or a related discipline from another institution. This program emphasizes the study of ancient Greek and Roman material culture, equipping graduates for university-level teaching and research positions in Archaeology and associated disciplines.
Typical completion time: 5 years.
PhD candidates are encouraged to spend a year at an external research institution (like the American Academy in Rome or the American School of Classical Studies at Athens), though this may extend the overall program duration.
