The veterinary medicine graduate program emphasizes the systematic examination of disease transmission patterns and development processes relevant to domestic animals, wildlife, and humans, with practical applications in diagnosis, prevention, and therapeutic interventions. The curriculum covers infectious and noninfectious diseases, epidemiology, environmental biology, animal behavior studies, and various pathological disciplines including anatomical, clinical, and molecular approaches. Veterinary Medicine (VMED) graduate programs deliver exceptional research education, equipping students to develop innovative solutions that enhance the health of pets, livestock, and wild species. The PhD curriculum cultivates independent researchers capable of pursuing careers in academic, corporate, or public sector environments. Our MS program develops specialized technical skills to advance careers in research and clinical practice. Participants can select from four distinct research specialization tracks.
The preferred undergraduate GPA for admittance to the program is 3.25.
DVM or equivalent; students with a BA or BS in biological sciences may be considered. Previous laboratory experience is preferred.
