To obtain the Graduate Certificate, students must complete fifteen credit hours, which includes two mandatory DAAS courses (Pro-seminar and Capstone). A maximum of seven credits from the fifteen may overlap with courses required for the student's degree program, though no single course can be applied toward multiple requirements simultaneously (for instance, a course cannot count toward the degree, the GCP in DAAS, and another certificate at the same time). Non-Rackham programs may have different policies on credit sharing. Students are advised to discuss course eligibility and credit allocation with their academic advisor.
