The Mathematical Sciences Program offers comprehensive foundational training in mathematics while allowing for focused study in specific applied mathematics fields. Students must choose one of eight specialized tracks: Discrete and Algorithmic Methods, Numerical and Applied Analysis, Operations Research and Modeling, Probabilistic Methods, Control Systems, Mathematical Economics, Mathematical Physics, or Mathematical Biology. Given the specialized nature of these program tracks, students should plan carefully and maintain regular communication with their advisors to ensure successful program completion.
