This specialized track in our APA-accredited Clinical Program offers comprehensive training in both research and clinical practice focused on addressing challenges faced by children, adolescents, couples, and families. The curriculum prepares research-focused clinical psychologists with expertise in these areas, building upon core coursework and hands-on experiences in typical and atypical development, family assessment techniques, and therapeutic interventions. Students can pursue dual enrollment in the Developmental and Child Clinical Ph.D. programs or create customized specializations in fields like advanced statistical methods, pediatric healthcare, or special education. The program also offers clinical training opportunities in pediatric health concerns. South Florida's culturally rich environment enables exceptional multicultural research and clinical experiences. Our graduate programs strongly emphasize incorporating multicultural awareness throughout the assessment, treatment, and prevention of psychological disorders in children and families.
