Enhance your expertise as an educational researcher and instructional leader for PK-12 programs through UMass Lowell's Leadership in Schooling Ed.D. STEM Option. This fully online program caters to STEM educators and professionals working in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields within higher education, while concentrating leadership development on PK-12 settings. While this program doesn't lead to licensure, alumni have advanced to roles such as STEM department heads, school administrators, university faculty, and curriculum specialists.
Classes are delivered online throughout Summer, Fall, and Spring terms, with a mandatory one-week summer residency annually. Students commence their studies in mid-May during the Summer term and progress through the program as a cohesive group. The curriculum involves taking two courses per term, with completion achieved in three years.
As a doctoral candidate in the Leadership and Schooling: STEM concentration, you'll engage with global STEM experts and approach educational challenges through a social justice framework to develop practical solutions for your schools and districts.
