Cultural landscapes span both urban and rural settings, encompassing spaces like parks, gardens, historic landmarks, farmlands, and ethnographic sites. Many are protected areas designated as World Heritage Sites, National Parks, or National Heritage Areas. Some cultural landscapes lack formal recognition yet represent meaningful interactions between communities and their environment, showcasing distinctive social patterns and land use. These landscapes hold deep significance for their creators, inhabitants, and visitors alike.
