Recognized by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB), the Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) serves as the professional credential mandated by most state licensing boards for architectural practice. Clemson's M.Arch. program cultivates students' ability to address modern architectural, societal, and worldwide challenges through a blend of theoretical understanding and hands-on skills.
The M.Arch. II is a two-year, 60-credit program designed for candidates holding a pre-professional Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in Architecture, accompanied by a robust portfolio showcasing 6 to 8 semesters of design studio experience. This advanced placement track requires at minimum a BA or BS in a pre-professional architecture program, along with a competitive portfolio. Admission to this track is evaluated by the Admissions Committee through application and portfolio assessment within the context of the applicant pool.
