The Master of Public Health (MPH) with a Health Equity specialization is a 45-credit, interdisciplinary professional degree program. This school-wide initiative is currently overseen by the Department of Health Services Administration. The Health Equity MPH prepares students to become public health professionals who specialize in identifying, analyzing, and addressing health disparities through both research and practical applications. These disparities manifest across various populations, including racial/ethnic communities, geographic locations, genders, sexual orientations, age groups, and individuals with disabilities. This distinctive Health Equity MPH program offers an interdisciplinary curriculum, allowing students to take courses throughout UMD-SPH departments and across the university campus.
